What's the role?

• Manage a business unit specific team of development engineers (2-5), build the development competence, take liability for OTD and quality of the product development projects, be the key contact to the business units in all matters of product development.

What does the role involve?

Key Project Engineer (3) Accountable for coordinating all different Hilti's parties involved in a large/mega project to maximize project's penetration.

1. Coach team members for development competency (engineering and innovation) and efficient project handling: • Conduct market/application research in project definition phases to ensure quality of DDs/PSVs. • Carry out concept development with scenario technique, work out outlooks for performance, costs, invests and timeline of design concepts to prepare management decision. • Carry out development work (product realization) for components and complete mechanical product systems for consumable products from concept design to release of mass production line. • Professional management of the development related tasks & risks in the projects. Take necessary steps to ensure proper planning and tracking of the development steps. Review and clarify accuracy of specifications. Take care of all development documentation. • competence regarding technical/physical function of the product systems, their materials and production processes, customer applications for these products, their design, testing

What you need is:

  • 1. Competence in product development and project management, especially direct customer contact for aligning product specifications, minimum 8 years working experience.
  • 2. Team leader experience with proven track record of people development and project management skills.
  • 3. Min 5 years’ experience in a multinational company.
  • 4. Engineering related university graduate, master preferred.
  • 5. Proficiency in English and Mandarin.
  • 6. Proven track record in engineering (finished projects) as well as innovations (patents, NPDs).
  • 7. Strongly solution oriented mindset with strong will to outperform.
  • 8. Experience in working with CAD Software mandatory (Unigraphics NX preferable), experience in working with PDM-systems preferable.
  • 9. PC knowledge in all Microsoft Windows applications.



S1. Target oriented leading of Time To Money projects from definition of specifications to hand over to
product care in cooperation with the development teams in Asia and Europe.
2. Close communication with project teams and team members in Europe and coordination of the tasks


1. Responsible test engineer in development projects for electric power tools and inserts, especially TTM projects.
2. Planning, execution, and evaluation of functional and durability tests for power tools and their components.
